With about 3,500 episodes, it is the longest-running quiz show on Italian TV, where it debuted in the 1980s on Canale Cinque.
However, the game, which aims to unravel the hidden phrase by spinning the wheel, choosing consonants and acquiring vowels, achieved notoriety in 1989 with Mike Bongiorno, who hosted it for fourteen years in various editions, first on Canale Cinque, then on Retequattro.
